About Balz

Balz Renggli is our General Manager. After finishing high school, Balz left his homeland of Switzerland to complete his college and graduate degrees in San Diego. Balz is a long time enthusiast of Ducati and other Italian motorcycles and finally, in 1994 he purchased his first Ducati - a 916, which he still owns today. A true case of making his passion his job, Balz started this dealership after successfully racing his Ducati and Aprilia on the local and national level. In 1998 Balz won the Battle of the Twins Heavyweight championship at Willow Springs and followed that title up by finishing the 2000 Aprilia Cup Challenge National Series in 3rd place. When not working, Balz usually tinkers on one of his bikes or you will find him riding the local twisties with his friends or at a track day on any of California's race tracks.

About Michelle

Pretty much 2 words sum up Michelle, AWE SOME

Nobody is really sure how we survived before the Michelle era, she is the Ying to our Yang and the Forza to our Moto.  Michelle's motherly instinct keeps the entire staff at Moto Forza in check, customers are instantly relaxed with her pleasent "hello" and somehow our bills and paperwork get paid and filed on time because of her hard work.  Along with her behind the scenes administrative knowhow Michelle is also extremely knowledgeable about the products and services we offer.  When Michelle's not doing sweet wheelies in her office chair you can probably find her shopping in the shoe or handbag department of Nordstroms.

About Tony

Tony is a longtime Moto Forza customer turned employee!  After serving an honorable 20 years in the United States Marine Corps Tony finally had the opportunity to pursue a career in the industry he had helped support for so long.  His first gig in the motorsports industry was for Pilot Motosport, a Motorcycle Apparel Manufacturing and a Private Label Company for many of the big OE companies.  From here he excelled in customer relations and attention to detail, he became an obvious shoe-in when our sales department needed a position filled.  Tony’s riding and motorcycle enthusiasm started back in the year 2000 when he purchased his first 2 wheeled chick magnet, a Harley Sportster…..  After his first ride trying to keep up with buddies on sportbikes Tony knew the cruiser lifestyle was not for him.  He quickly jumped ship and traded the hog for a Buell Firebolt XB9R, this move set off a chain reaction finding Tony owning pretty much every popular Japanese sportbike under the sun.  Tony got bit by the European bike bug after picking up his first Ducati in 2010, a Ducati Monster 796.  Since his first ride on the Monster Tony has had the privilege of owning everything from a MV Agusta Brutale to a race ready Panigale “R” to a Husqvarna FE 501 Supermoto and pretty much everything in between!  His passion and enthusiasm for the premium motorcycle brands is obvious, when Tony is not spending time with his beautiful wife and son he is either hitting the track or carving up the roads in East County.  We ride what we sell, Tony is a perfect example of this!!

About Myles

Myles has been the Moto Forza ‘Parts Guru’ for his knowledge and expertise in helping our customers stay safe and fast on two wheels. As usual we take pride in hiring staff with riding experience and Myles is no exception. Myles has been riding for most of his life on dirtbikes both in the open dessert, Baja, and the local motocross tracks. Although Myles is most familiar riding on knobbies, he now has a Ducati Hypermotard and is quickly getting the hang of pavement! Try and catch him and his Hypermotard at the next Moto Forza track day on October 14th  coming up! Read his mini interview below!

•How did you get your start into motorcycles?

Coming from a family of desert racers, there were always dirt bikes and motorcycles around. Going to races and riding casually has always been a part of my life.

What are your favorite memory on your bike?

My earliest memory is family trips going to Baja California with friends and family and ripping full throttle down pole line road through massive whoops left behind from previous races and trophy trucks.

•What’s your favorite riding style?

Fast flowy single track and ripping a two track desert wash with the amigos.

•Any injuries? And if so, what made you want to keep on riding?

Who hasn’t taken a spill at some point, luckily no broken bones just lots of bruises and scars, and maybe a few ocotillos to the hand or arm.

•Did always know you wanted to work in the motorcycle industry?

What kid hasn’t wanted to be part of a motorcycle dealership selling parts behind the counter? Especially a Ducati and husky shop. Outside of motorcycles another passion would be culinary arts.

•How has motorcycle riding changed your life?

My passion for motorcycles has brought me respect for the machine and the concentration needed when out on the road and in dealing with everyday activities.

•What are you motorcycle accomplishments?

As a child Winning the Adelanto Grand Pre (Google it) and racing at Barona oaks. In recent years I’ve transitioned from dirt bikes to dual sport bikes and street bikes.

•What are you future goals in the sport?

Becoming a more well-rounded street rider, and hopefully more disc trick 38 desert races in the high desert.

•What has been your biggest challenge or challenges?

It was a challenge coming from a full dirt shop to Moto Forza, where most of the business is street, learning a whole new side of the motorcycle industry.

How long have you worked at Moto Forza?

3 years

•What is your favorite part about working here?

Working in a small shop where everyone is treated equal and getting to deal with motorcycles like, MV Agusta and Ducati.

•What lessons have you learned while working at Moto Forza?

The importance of organization and working as a small team and keeping a tight ship.

•What is your favorite motorcycle right now?

HYPAMOTARD!

•What is the hottest item you sell at the parts department?

Everyday a good day when your making the customers dream a reality with some hot item from the Moto Forza parts department.

•Did you ever consider another position at moto Forza?

I’ve always wanted to be a motorcycle tech as I consider myself a good mechanic, but selling the parts that get installed is more fun.

•What is one of the most common questions or comments you hear as a parts manager?

What’s my price?
